The Plot Thickens

Tanking escapades and other nonsense from a trolling narcissist called Hensley on the EU-server Scarshield Legion. Under all kevlar he has a sweet spot for D.E.T.H.A and bright yellow dyed blond belfs.

Pwnwear highlighted something that i have been wanting to write a article about in the magazine for a while. And that is “Parents that play WoW”. There are certainly a lot of us. Even in my very small guild there are at least five raiders that have kids and comments like “i have to AFK for a short while, my kid woke up” are very common. In fact; so common that nobody cares anymore. Our situation might be a little different since the average age of our members are slightly higher then a “normal” raiding guild.

But as veteran WoW players get older and considering the huge demography that play the game; i think it is getting more and more common to play WoW with or while having kids. And kids that where born right before/during release of the game are soon ready to gank the shit out of you in Stranglethorn Vale together with their WoW-playing parents. Beware!

I have a kid named Walter. He is only 8 month. A tiny gnome that is. When he was a newborn baby he used to sleep on my chest while i was tanking Trail of the Grand Crusader. He slept so tight that not even nerdscreams on Ventrilo could wake him up. Good times. Nowadays he are about to go to bed at raid start and sleeps in the room next to where i have my warstation (Mac Pro! Mac Cinema Display!)

I am really looking forward to start playing games with him when he gets older. Maybe we can play together in the same guild in Blizzards upcoming MMO! *mindfuck* *pep overflow*

His mother/my girlfriend plays a shadow priest and have been playing the game almost as long as me. She is not very into raiding now a days but enjoy running random heroics, farming herbs and play the game very casually. She have become an multitasking expert at emergency breastfeeding and melting faces at the same time for those times when our kid wake up in the middle of a heroic run. Thats skillz 4 real! She is more hardcore in that sense then the guys in Ensidia!

And a picture
Since this post would be piss boring without a picture i included a screenshot from yesterday. Right after we where “done” in ICC25, we headed for Dragonblight to try Sarth3D. Many of us never had the chance to do it when it was hot and many have rolled new characters since then. I did it when it in Naxxramas-gear when it was hard and fun as hell. I even got the deep blue drake on my warlock (old main). In Icecrown-gear it was a real pushover. As expected. But still a bit fun. Sartharions seven million health pool is a bit cute.
